Show Opening of Utah's New Capitol Sept. 25, 1916. TO THE PUBLIC: The new State Capitol will be formally opened on Monday, October !)th, 191(i, and the Capitol Commission takes this means of extending a most cordial invitation to all the people of the State to attend and participate in the ceremonies incident to the occasion-It occasion-It is the desire of the Commission that the people of Utah have an opportunity to inspect the building under the most favorable circumstances, and for that reason they have arranged that the capitol be thrown open during the afternoon after-noon and evening of that day. Commencing at 2 o'clock in the afternoon an appropriate programe of speeches and music will be rendered and in the evening, at 8 o'clock a public reception will be held in the state reception room. The date for the opening has been fixed with a due regard to the convenience of out of town people and has been set for a time when the people of the state can take advantage of the State Fair and Conference rates. No formal invitations will be issued but this general invitation is extended in the hope that the people of the State will join in the celebration of the completion of their new home.
