Mrs. Percy Kyes entertained a few friends Tuesday afternoon as a farewell hancikecheif shower show-er for Mrs. Lamson. All present pres-ent silent a delightful afternoon and were happy to greet Harry Kyes who has recoved from his severe illness and broken shoulder, shoul-der, caused by lightning six weeks ago. Waiter Pr-rben is enjoying life in his new buzz wagon. Walter Walt-er is always g'kul to give his neighbors pleasure and when you see his ear coming it is filled with a jolly party. The new weighing station miles west of Woodrow is a busy point these days. Tons of beets are being emptied into the cars awaiting them and other tons have been piled along the track when no cars were in evidence and will have to be reloaded. Vesdrcv Items F,ev. A special meeting of the Jolly Stitchers will be held at the home of Mrs. Argo Brown, Friday, Fri-day, October the 3rd, to bid fareweil to Mrs. Philip Lamson, who will depart for her new home in Newport, West Virginia, immediately after casting her ballot for the next president.
