Show Democratic Spellbinders Spell-binders Entertain At the democratic speaking last Thursday evening a crowd estimated to be 700 assembled to hear the speakers. The speaking speak-ing was held at the Ward Hall after the picture show and the show was given free. While the free show had no connection with the speaking it is one of Manager Gardner's hobby's to entertain the public about every so often at his own expense. He recently planned a big free watermelon feed for his audience aud-ience but fell down on getting his melons. Postmaster Faust presided at the speaking and introduced Simon Hambergcr, candidate for governor, as first speaker. Mr. Bamberger is a logical and forceful force-ful speaker and besides is something some-thing of a humorist and kept the audience in a pleasant mood during his talk. O. N. Nelson; of Salt Lake was the next speaker speak-er and made a splendid showing for himself, he being a very fluent and entertaining talker. Robt- Sidaway, Sec'y to Mr. Bamberger, also gave a talk and ,-ang some campaign songs. Mr. Sidaway is olso a very pleasant entertainer. Att'y Murdock, of Beaver was also one of the speakers, and is a canidate for district attorney fof this judicial district. Miss Helene Davis sang a couple of solos of late campaign origin which also met with the approval of the audience. audi-ence. Only two more days left for us to register. They are the 31st and the first of November. If you miss registering on these dates you will lose your vote at' this election and any others between be-tween now and next regular election. Look up your registration regis-tration station and be sure to. register. Books are open until S, p. m., on the 31st and Nov. 1. |
