Florence Wood and Minerva Stringham spent part of the holidays holi-days in Meadow, ask Howard and Dan if they were welcome visitors. Orson Johnson has been seriously seri-ously ill with a complication of stomach, liver and lung troubles. His daughters from Fillmore and Dueschene were called to his bedside, but he is reported on the improve. Dr. Stevens is in attendance. at-tendance. Wednesday afternoon the cry of fire echoed through our town and before help could arrive the house of Riley Johnson was in : flames, through the heroic efforts I of the volunteer fire fighters all of the furniture belonging, to Mr. and Mrs.' Riley Johnson was saved. His brother, Fred and family were living . in the back part of the house, where the fire broke but all of their belongings were consumed.
