Show Oak City Offerings. (Jos. H. Christenson, Rep.) I Two horse buyers were in town , last week buying work horses. The biggest snowfall of the season fell here last Friday night. . The Oak City Dramatic Co., at 1 the request of several, re-staged their play Saturday night and a j fair sized audience was out to en-j en-j joy it. j The Oak City Dramatic Co. put on their play at Holden and re- port a satisfactory turn out, the r proceeds paying them well for their trip. , Clara Walker, who has been at j Sutherland for some time, clerk -. ing in the Walker & Co. store, , is here visiting relatives and ad-' ad-' miring friends. ' y The Stork visited bur city Feb-j Feb-j ruary 11th, leaving ' a fine 'little j girl at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Finlinson. All concerned are reported as doing nicely. " The Sewing Club girls met last Thursday with Ella Carlson, who proved to be a queenly hostess; J dainty refreshments were serv- ed and all enjoyed the meeting. A number of the younger folks enjoyed a candy pull at the home j of Edna Anderson, Friday night. Games of all kinds afforded en-!, en-!, tertainment. Edna is a most clever hostess. Mrs. C. Hartley and Henry I Carlson, both of Salt Lake, were " visiting relatives and friends last ' week, they stayed at the home of Franklin Anderson, the great-; great-; er part of the time. . h A number of Delta teams are s now at work on the new canal west of town and it looks now as V though the canal will be complet-- complet-- ed as far as Holden in time to irrigate the tributary lands by early spring. |
