Show THE HINCKLEY HAPPENINGS Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Ellison Elli-son have gone to Salt Lake City. While there Mrs. Ellison will undergo un-dergo an operation, The family of Frank Webb has been increased by the arrival of a fine baby boy. Mother and child getting along nicely. Mrs. M. J. Alldredge, one of our oldest and most highly respected re-spected citizens, has been very ill for the past week. Layton Harris 6f Springville, has spent the pas'- week in Hinckley, the guest of his sister, Mrs. D. A. Morris, Jr. Mrs. A. A. Hinckley and infant in-fant daughter left Friday for Salt Lake City, where they will spend sometime visiting with relatives. Jacob Felix and family are again located at their residence, after spending the winter in Lynndyl, where Mr. Felix has had employment in the railway yard. Wilford Welch, one of our district dis-trict school teachers has been on the sick list. Miss Pearl Mor-tenson Mor-tenson took charge of his school on Thursday ana Friday of last week. The Relief Society party, last Friday in honor or the retiring-presidency retiring-presidency was a complete success. suc-cess. It was very weil attended and a very entertaining' program was rendered. Each retiring officer was presented with a token tok-en of respect in the form of some useful article. Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served and all report re-port having enjoyed the afternoon after-noon thoroughly. One of our respected townsmen, towns-men, Mr. Jndd Wilkins, diedyery suddenly on Sunday last." He had been in poor health for sometime some-time past, but his condition was not regarded as serious. Some years ago he was employed at the Deiamar mines and some people are of the opinion that the poison taken into his system while there, was in a large measure responsible for his death. He has been a citizen of this town for the past six years and has always been known as an honest, industrious man. His first wife was Mary Jackaway who died many years ago, leaving leav-ing a son, Frank, who survives his father. Some years ago he married Mrs. Mary Ann Bagshaw who survives him, together with their three children, Heber, Delia De-lia and Mary. Funeral Services were held in the Relief Society Hall on Tuesday and were well attended. The following speakers speak-ers spoke consolingly to the bereaved: be-reaved: Charles Webb, Richard Rich-ard Parker and Bishop John B. Pratt. A large cortege followed the remains to the Hinckley cemetery, where they were inhered. |
