Show HOLDEN" NOTES. The dry farmers have been busy getting their crops in before the storm which now tbreitsos. t , . Miss Luta Stephenson has returned home from Salt Lake City. A lovely baby girl was born to the home of Mrs. and Mr. Russel Warner. Mother and babe doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Krwin Brown from Sclplo are spending a few days with Mrs. Brown's parents. John Wood Is still on the Improve, but has not left the hospital yet. We will all be happy to see him return home well. Josie Teeples has returned home from Kanosh where she has been for two weeks with her millinery goods. She reports finding a very sociable class of people there. There are a number of teams working work-ing on the road northwest of Holden. We hope to soon have a good road from here to Oasis. Mr. and Mrs. Christenson from Arizona Ari-zona have been spending a few days with their sister, Mrs. J. Ambrose Hunter. Carl Probert from Nevada Is spending spend-ing a few weeks with relatives and friends and Flossie Nixon Is wearing a very bright smile for some reason. Glen Kenny, who is working In the State Bank of Millard County comes home every Saturday night and goes back Monday mornings. There seems to be a very great attraction here for him, but If any one should ask Violate why he came home so often sh'ould reply, "He gets home-sick." , lmar Gardener from Richfield was here for a few days last week and Nettle Net-tle Hunter says the reason he didn't stay any longer was that there was no one to entertain him while she was at school. Our schools are In good running order or-der and we think we have a set of the best teachers In the county. Mrs. S. P. Teeples seems more encouraged en-couraged over her foot. She says It has Improved more the last few months than it did In two years before. We will all be glad when we can see her once more going around without her crutches, which we hope will not be very long. Velma Hunter came home Friday and went back to Hinckley Sunday, where she attends high school. She j thinks the school gets better all the time. |
