Show HALLOWE'EN PARTY. Mian Octavla Murphy celebrated the closing hours of October with a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party. Thirty-eight invitations were isaued to her young frienda and they had a very Jolly time. The rooms were decorated with ntottoa appropriate appro-priate to the occasion, colored lights and pumpkin lanterns. (ihosta, spooks, witches, goblins, Mother Goose and other uncanny creatures that are supposed to be abroad on thia night were at the Murphy home, and the following program of strange games was carried through: March of the unknown spirits. Thimble, Thim-ble, ring and penny hunt. Potato feast. Drawing offortunes. Choosing Choos-ing partners. Tree game. Visit to the Hindoo fortune teller. Nut game. A strole through shoal-land. Word formation. Good night song. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and the menu was iuite a puzzle, and the cause of much fun. Prizes were given the best guessers and the booby also won a prize. The party was a great success. |
