Show Mrs. Sarah Johnson has gone to Delta for an extendid visit with her children. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Morgan of Sevier Co., were here visiting relatives and friends last week. Dall Huntsman and family of Sutherland spent Sunday with relatives here. Mrs. Jane Stephenson is in Maroni with her daughter, Mrs. Blackham. Cattle buyers are seen on our streets every day. They are paying very high prices and are receiving a fine grade of cattle. Yearling steers are selling at $35 a head. Holden Happenings Jack Frost has been at work and our town looks like a mass of red, yellow and brown. Nothing Noth-ing can surpass the beauties of autumn. GoocI crops have been harvested, and farmers are getting get-ting ready for a pleasant winter. A number of our citizens attended at-tended conference and the Fair at Salt Lake City. The retiring officers and the present officers of the H. E. A. were given a delicious banquet at Mrs. Mina Nixon's home Saturday Sat-urday evening. Miss Hettie White prepared the feast, the chief feature being a roast duck. All did justice to the repast after which a very pleasant evening-was evening-was spent. Miss White has been the guest of Miss Lula -Johnson the last few days. We , appreciate very much the visit - 1 of our Home Demonstrator and extend to her an invitation to visit us again. The mutual gave an opening party Friday night at the Social Hall. Edward Stevens, his daughters Clara -and Bertha, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Teeples went to Salt Lake City in Mr. Stevens car Friday. They expect to be gone several days. Ray Stringham and Dave Mitchell came from Garrison last week and are paying Mr. String-ham's String-ham's mother a short visit before be-fore resuming their journey to Bountiful. |
