Show Two Hinckley Students Enter Pepsi Cola Tests Two Seniors from the Hinckley High School have been elected by their classmates to compete with students from other high schools throughout the United States and territories for the Pepsi-Cola Pepsi Year Four-Year College Scholarships and more than fifty-dollar fifty College Entrance Awards being offered again again again a- a gain this year by the Pepsi-Cola Pepsi Scholarship Board The contestants chosen were Richard Dewsnup and Buron Robinson Rob Rob- inson According to Principal RobIns Robins Robins Rob Rob- ins it is both scholastic and personal personal personal per per- honor to be selected as a contestant since the students so elected must be one who is in the opinion of his classmates most likely to make an important contribution contri contribution con con- tri to human progress If one of the boys from Hinckley High School win the Pepsi-Cola Pepsi Scholarship he will have full tuition tuition tu- tu and other fees paid for four years years to any accredited accredit d academic I college he wishes to attend in the United States its territories or Canada and will receive 25 a month during his four academic years as well as traveling expenses to and from the college each school year There will be five up runners-up for every scholarship each of ot which will receive a College Entrance Award of 50 payable If the winner winner winner win win- ner enters the college by fall of 1948 Special aptitude tests will be given in all high schools to these participants on November 21 with the winners in each state participating participating patin in a n second test on January January January Janu Janu- ary 24 the winners to be announced ed in March Two scholarships will be awarded award award- ed in each of the 48 states and in inthe inthe inthe the District of Columbia and some In Alaska Hawaii and Puerto Rico In 1947 the two winners In Utah were David Bennion of Granite High School who is now attending Stanford University and Sanford Lan Langa a of oC the Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant who is now vat Sat tending the U.
