Show Thanksgiving j This Thanksgiving iime is tempered: with sorrow, for service stars of gold signify losses loss-es in families. Yet withal, though we-are engaged in war, thanks arise for the many benefits we as a people and this as a com- j munity enjoy. To all those who feel that a loved face is absent from the usual place at table on that day, we and all others extend our condolence. con-dolence. To those to whom no loss of loved lov-ed one has clouded the day, let it be one of festivity, with heart full of thanks. Let these and theirs enjoy the day to the utmost, and give encouragement to those who must of necessity mix with its grief, that their load may be lightened. 1 To every friend in our circle of communities, commun-ities, we wish all the fine spirit of Thanksgiving Thanks-giving to be with them. Enjoy it as is your j wont. We will all give greater thanks when war is terminated. |
