E Stevenson Ward Vard members and residents of ot the second ward were gathered for forthe forthe forthe the occasion and dinner was served to about persons Five long tables tables tables ta ta- ta- ta bles were ere set for Cor the guests decorated decorated decorated decor decor- with flowers Clowers and the dinner was served under the direction of oC the Relief Relief Relief Re Re- lief Society and their helpers A program was given during the dinner opened by a prayer b by H. H W. W Warren Henderson acted as master of oC ceremonies Musical numbers numbers numbers num num- bers were given by George Q and his male quartet Layton Maxfield Maxfield Max Max- field Wm Miller and Glen Rawlinson Rawlin- Rawlin son Numbers by Mrs Amanda Whick Whick- Whicker er and company on mandolins and guitars and a comic number The Goofy Dance was given by four of the young much to the pleasure pleas pleas- i ure of the audience A large group of I young ladies and boys drilled and sang Encores were demanded of each of these numbers and given by bythe bythe bythe the performers Mrs J. J Avery Bishop gave a history of the ward from 1924 when the ward was organized up to 1941 The first ward officers were Bishop E. E L. L Lyman Lyman Lyman Ly Ly- Ly- Ly man assisted by Roy P P. P Hilton as superintendent superintendent superintendent su su- su- su of the Sunday School Mrs A. A E. E Stephenson as president of oC the Relief Society Mrs David Terry as Primary Supervisor and Mrs Mabel Mabel Mabel Ma Ma- bel Bunker and H. H W. W leading the M. M I I. I A A. M I I. I A. A Mrs Henry Hansen gave a toast to I the first bishop E E. L. L Lyman now a member of the Stake Presidency and Pres Lyman with a humorous humor humor- ous account of the early days of oC his work in the ward Mrs Orran Ashby gave a toast to Bishop and at the close of his response he was presented with a beautiful easy chair from his congregation In honor honorof of his birthday Singing by the assembly led by M.
