IX SNAPPY SEWERS MEET The members of the Six Snappy Sewers, club, Sandra Finlin-so-president, Ardella Christen sen, vice president and reporter, Pauline Lovell, secretary, Orpha Anderson, assistant secretary and song leader, Ardyce Nielson, song leader, Theo Stuart, our leader, had a party May 13 and invited our mothers. We played games and had retrshmenls. The party was held at Theo Stuart's home. After the party we met with Mrs. Nielson and two other H clubs. Mrs. Nielson told us about our 4jH projects for this summer. Now we are making a child's article for our project. By Ardella Christensen. Willis Lyman from Rexburg was the speaker. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Don Walker and family spent a few days in Oak City . Mrs. Serena Carson Murray and family visited Memorial Day in Oak City . They are from aSlt L3Mi and Mrs. Cliff Talbot and Mr. and Mrs. Anderson from Og-de- n were Oak City visitors. Also Mr. and Mrs. Victor Roberts and family. They were guests with Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot and Mr. and Mrs. John Alldredge. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Holt from Richfield visited their mother, Mrs. Twiss Nielson and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Anderson were visitors and Mrs. Caddie An-derson. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roper have a new son, born June 2. The stork slipped in .and lefta son after lea-ving five girls. Melvin was in Ida-ho so the stork became brave this time. Mr. Eddy Anderson 'from Calif-ornia visited Oak City. Wesley and Carol Ann Barlow from Brigham City visited Miss Lulu Lovell and she returned to Brigham City with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Dutson and daughter from Ririe Idaho were Oak City visitors. Visitors from Salt Lake was Venna Mae Drollinger, Geniel Ship ley, Colleen Anderson and friend from Tooele and Maurine Ander-son. Clarence East and Jolean, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Weldon vis-ited for Memorial Day. They stay-ed over Sunday. Mrs. Clara Talbot had her fam-ily home for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roper from Caliente were Oak City visitors as were Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lovell and family, Florence Lyman, Lou-ise Nielson and children and Wan-da Nielson and family. Other visitors noticed were Mr. and Mrs. Wellis Lyman from Rex-burg, Mrs. Geo. Faust from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Billings-l- y from Salt Lake. Miss Wilna Wixom is home af-ter several weeks at the veterans hospital for surgery. Miss Amelia Dean visited with her sister, Mrs. Alice Anderson the past week. Mrs. Rachel Roper is home 'from Salt Lake. She has been there several weeks for medical treat-ment. Mrs. Alden Nielson and little son, Douglas spent the past week visiting in Beaver with her par-ents. Miss Janet Finlinson returned home after a visit at Spanish Fork. Mrs. Bryce Finlinson returned home with her new son. Mr. and Mrs. John 7 drove to Salt Lake Citv ifi and met their son ch Hi son, A2C, USAF. Redondo Beach, Cal., are visiting in Delta with Mrs. Lloyd's mother, Mrs. Lynn Warnick. Mrs. Wamick recently returned to Delta after a slay of three months in Salt Lake. LynadyS BY MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mc Cardell journeyed to Bingham 'for the ball game Wednesday. Mr. arid Mrs. Herbert Abegglen and Rex left Thursday for a ten day visit with Mr. Abegglen's mo-ther in St. Anthony, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson and family drove to Provo Wednesday where they visited Lucille's mo-ther, Mrs. Vilate Ivie, who is con-fined to her bed now. Mrs. Muriel Nielson returned on Monday from a trip to Colorado. She went with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wellington of amy-so- n and Ted Wellington of Mil-for- d. They visited with Myrtle and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Ford Coleman were Memorial Day visitors at the home of Mrs. Colemans' parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot. Mrs. Minnie Ashby who recent-ly returned from Phoenix, Ariz., is here for a stay with her daugh-ter, Eleanor Nielson and family. Mrs. Delia King and children vis ited here with her mother, Mrs. Mary Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse. They were Provo visitors Friday. - Mrs. Alberta Banks drove to Nephi Friday and brought her daughter, Penny, home from the hospital. Saturday Mrs. Banks left for Salt Lake City to see her mo ther, who is seriously ill at this time. Mrs. Lucille Overson drove to Salt Lake Wednesday. She visited her daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Christen-sen. Roger who has been in Lund, Nev., with his sister, Jeannette, came to Salt Lake by bus and re-turned home with his mother. Mrs. Louise Bentley and son, Joe, came down also for a visit over the week end. Mrs. Curt Johnson and George were in Cedar City for the Mem-orial Day holiday with Lucille's mother, Mrs. Casen. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thompson and family drove to Cedar City for Decoration Day. They returned on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and Mr. and Mrs. John Dutson received word of a new granddaughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson. Miss Velda Sheriff was home over the week end as was Miss Colleen and Miss Roberta Nielson. John Whatcott is home from school at the Y, but will return to Provo Wednesday morning to join the baseball team for the trip to Greenley, Colo., 'for the base-ball game. Mrs. Margie Greathouse with Mrs. Mina Overson, Mrs. Alberta Banks were released from the YM- - MIA Sunday evening. Mrs. Lois Mc Cardell was chosen as presid-ent. She hasn't selected her coun-selors as yet. Mrs. Eosalee Banks and child-ren of Orem who are at Leaming-ton with Mrs. Bank's mother spent the day Wednesday here with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks. Mrs. Ruth Nielson and children drove over to Nephi for Memorial Day. Mrs. Josephine Sudbury re-turned home with them. Mrs. Myrna Borg and children of Provo are here with her par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill 'Turner. Miss Phyllis Turner was home ov-er Sunday, from Salt Lake. Miss Annette Smith has em -- ployment in Salt Lake tout come home over the week end with her father, Jim Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chambers of Ogden visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith Sunday . Mr. and Mrs. J. Alma Banks tal-ked with ther daughter, Gladys Thursday on her birthday. She is at Las Vegas, N.M., laboring now. Folks who gathered at the home of Mrs. Sarah Wiley on Friday eving were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Wiley, Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Wiley and 'family of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Walker 'and family, Mr. and Mrs .Robert Kenrose and Roe Wiley, and boys of 'Orem, Mr. and Mrs. 'Loren Wiley from Magna, Sarah Ann and Lanny Wiley re-turned to their home with them for a two weeks visit. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Me Cardell and boys and Mrs. Mary Freer drove to Salt Lake on Memorial Day. In the afternoon they joined Mr. and Mrs. Brant Wall and boys for an outing at Lagoon. Buron Bishop Robinson, son of Blaine Robinson, Hinckley, will re-ceive his diploma and Bachelor of Arts Degree at Commencement ex-ercises at the University of Utah on Saturday, June 7.
