He spent the week end in Oak City with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lovell. Brent has been at Parks AFB, Cal., and has just been transferred to War-ren AFB. He says that Dick Clark is also at Warren with him. Dick is a son of Djck Clark, Delta RFD. Mrs. Sarah Anderson was host-ess to the South Tract Garden Club at her home Friday after-- I noon, June 18. Mrs. Sarah Nielson, county home demonstration agent, from Fill-more, gave a lecture on interior decorating and showed some in-teresting slides on decorating. Light refreshments were served to eight club members and guests, Mrs. Ida Christensen, eLona And-erson, Donna Cox, Geraldine Hen-ri- e, Dorothy Williams, Ruby Skecm Elmo Gillen and Mrs. Enoch Gil-le- Earl Dorius, from Washington, D. C, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. S. There were forty-tw- o pre-sent. From out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer McClellnn, Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stutz, Davis, Cal., Mr. and Mrs. Ward Robison, Bakersfield, Cal., Mr. and Mis. Brooks Robison, Orem, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rodabaugh, Provo, and all their families. Guests were Dorothy Rodahaugh, Provo, and Jill Tippetts, Suther-land. From Delta were Mr. and Mrs. Brose Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Townsend and families, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clark, and Alma Robison. Club Meeting Delia Garden Club members met at the Rose Garden at 7 p. m. Monday and trimmed off all dead roses from the bushes. After that they went to the home of Mrs. Adeline Jeffery, where she showed them how to make pictures from flowers so they will last for years. Refreshments were served by President Maurine Jeffery and vice president, Jean Johnson. Mrs. Ver-d- a Little joined the club at that meeting. The state Rose convention will be held in Richfield Friday and Saturday, June 27 and 28. Anyone wishing to go there on Saturday is asked to get in touch with Mrs. Maurine Jeffery, Mrs. lone Dalley, or Mrs. Jean Johnson. They will be going and would like a couple of cars filled to represent the Delta club there. Mr. and Mrs. Marven Chesley, from California, are visiting in Delta with Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Chesley and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pearson. On the week end they were at Fish Lake for fishing. |
