Sunday Bobbie Meinhardt, Jim-mi- e Thomas and Russell Clark were out riding near Keg Moun-tain and saw a bobcat whose weight they estimated at thirty-fiv-e pounds. Arc Honored At deception A wedding reception Saturday night in the Crystal Room at the Newhouse Hotel honored Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Peterson. Wedding vows were exchanged earlier that evening. The bride is the former Marie Estelle Konkle, daughter of Rus-sell Konkle of Salt Lake City. Mr. Peterson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Peterson of Delta. Attending the reception from Delta were parents of the bride-groom, sons Shirley and Kenneth, Mrs. LuDean Peterson, Miss LaRae Chesley and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Full-mer. The new Mrs. Peterson wore a wedding gown of white satin, floor length, and with train. Her fingertip veil was held by a cap of pearls, and she carried a bou-quet of white carnations around an orchid. Mrs. LuDean Peterson was matron of honor, and Shirley Peterson stood as best mad. Following the program there was dancing. Refreshments were serv-ed during the evening. Now on a wedding trip, the young couple will make their home at Walla Walla, Wash., where Mr. Peterson will be asso-ciated with his brother, Leland Peterson, in the restaurant busi-ness. Ieseret LUCILLE SAMPSON Mrs. Victor Roberts from Salt Lake and her oldest brother, Mr. Cliff Talbert from Ogden were vis-itors over the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jen-sen. Mr. Talbert is a missionary among the Indians and has ful-filled 5 missions. Mrs. Will Cook of Delta, a niece of Mathilda Hales, visited Sunday at the Hales home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dewsnup of St. George, Utah visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Western from Provo ' spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Western and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allred went to Phoenix to attend the Palmer reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson and daughter. Helen and family and Mr. Gene Johnson, of Ely, Nev., spent Memorial Day at Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. George Cropper and family from Provo and Mrs. Ellen Cropper and Neva Cropper from Salt Lake spent Memorial Day in Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dee Bennett, from Provo spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Jerold Bennett. Mrs. Venice Knight spent a few days in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moffitt from Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Taylor from Modena, Utah, spent Memorial Day in Deseret. Mrs. Eva Cheel from Baldwin Park, Cal., is spending two weeks visiting in Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Western from Salt Lake spent Memorial Day in Deseret, Mrs. Western remained in Deseret 'for a week's visit with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Black. Mr. and Mrs. Layton Dewsnup, and boys, and Anna Lou Dewsnup spent Saturday at Provo, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Cahoon and family from Tooele are visi-ting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Conk. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Eliason and Mrs. Lincoln Eliason and son are spending a few days in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Sib Ross and son from Ely, spent Memorial Day in Deseret . Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wood and family from Salt Lake visited ov-er the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dewsnup. Ralph Erickson returned back to his base after spending a two-wee- k furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Erickson and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dewsnup. Primary graduation was held on Sunday evening for four boys and four girls. A very special program was held. The boys that gaduated were Gary Dutson, Paul Dewsnup, Ronnie Theobald, Varlo Cahoon. The girls were Elaine Moody, Jan-ice Western, Rochelle Cropper and Jean Winfield. A Square dance and bake sale was held Monday evening in tne ' Deseret ward hall. Mr.s Telia Wild from Salt Lake spent Memorial Day in Deseret. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Olson and daughter, Doris, from Provo spent Memorial Day in Deseret. Miss An-na Mae Webb returned to Provo for a week's visit with them. Mrs. Ada Cheynoweth and chil-dren 'from Orem visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. El-mer Dewsnup. Miss Joan Davis has employ-ment at Lehman's Cave for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Maine Western spent Memorial Day at Fillmore. Mr. Henry Dewsnup and Mrs. Arprilla Scow and son, Darrel spent Sunday at Nephi to the Bradfield reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Williams of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. George Van de Vanter of Delta visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Black. Mrs. Clayton Palmer, Mrs. Oral Black and Mrs. Mel Black spent Tuesday in Provo, Utah. MARILYN PALMER Clemont Hilton of Denver, Colo., visited last week end with his brother's family, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. John Wood of Port-land, Ore., spent part of last week visiting at the home of Mrs. Woods sister, Mrs. Hugh Hilton. Dr. and Mrs. Joel Black' from Escandio, Cal., visited part of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hil-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jones who have been here visiting the past week have returned to make their home in St. George. Clare Bishop, who has been at-tending the USAC the past winter, is now at his parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Bishop. George Vance is spending the summer in his trailer house at the home of his sister, Mrs. Hugh Judd. Carl Keller spent last week in Salt Lake City after attending a wedding at Richfield with her par-ents. This week end Mr. and Mrs. Allan Keller went to Salt Lake to attend the Keller Reunion and bring Carol home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Morris and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Cluff Talbot and family spent last week visiting the southern canyons tak-ing in Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Zions, and Grand Canyons. The group then visited Las Vegas and then spent a few days at the Palmer reunion which was held at Mt. Charleston located west of Las Vegas. Lula Marie Hilton and Kathryn Ekins accompanied Mrs. Ross Hil-ton to Logan Monday to bring his family and furniture back down here. Monday, June 4, the Hinckley Kindergarten was started. There were 27 children regis-tered according to Phyllis Bennett, Oasis Mr La Veda Bishop Mrs. Peter M. Anderson served a turkey dinner in honor of her husband's birthday May 20. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pet erson and family from Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Brien and family from Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Lars Hansen of Salt Lake City came down for Memorial Day. They returned to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bishop from Salt Lake City spent Memorial day in Oasis. From here they went on to Milford to attend funeral services for their sister-in-la- Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Peterson from Ogden spent last Wednesday in Oasis. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Harms, from Salt Lake City spent Memorial day in Oasis. Mrs. Harms is the former Mrs. Fae Huff. Mrs. Hannah Huff returned to Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs Boyd Harms and will visit there! Joyce Huff and Elaine Stewart went to Salt Lake City after the close of school and are now ployed there. Howard Roundy was in Tuesday with a load of bees, and is return-ing to California Thursday. Mrs. Betty Payne and children from Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Miller. Klever Klover KIuli Organized The Klever Klover Klub had its first meeting at the Delta Second ward in one classroom. After a demonstration given by the county supervisor officers were as follows: Eloise Bassett, president; Muriel Skidmore, vice president; Carma Clothier, secre-tary and treasurer; Sharon Steele, reporter; Dorene Moody, song lead-er and cheerleader; Peggy Wright, party chairman. Mrs. Goldie Mil-ler is leader. The club met May 31 at the home of Mrs. Miller, and chose the club name. Peggy Anne Wright gave a health lesson, "Do You Dine in Calm and Leiseure?" A new member, Patsy Green- - halgh, was added to the club. Present were Carma Clothier, Dor-ene Moody, Patsy Greenhalgh, Mu-riel Skidmore, Sharon Steele, Peg-gy Anne Wright, and leader, Mrs. Miller. I Mrs. Mary Black of Deseret has leased Roy's Coffee Shop in Delta, from Roy Thomas, and has been , managing there since June 1. Mrs. ' Black has been employed at the Coffee Shop since January, cook-ing and baking pastries. Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Black, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black and Mr. and Mrs. Nels Black attended funeral services in Mammoth for Mrs. Ru-by Hansen Vance. Mrs. Vance was a niece of P. T. Black, and was born in Deseret Jan. 19, 1896, a daughter of Joseph H. and Mary D. Black Hansen. ' Rulon Callister, of the Millard County Tel. & Tel. Co., left Delta Tuesday for San Francisco, where he will attend a convention of in-dependent telephone companies on June 7 and 8. He will return next week after a business trip to Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Callister accompanied by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Stapley, are mak-ing a trip through Yellowstone National Park. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bunker, ac-companied by Mrs. Walter Peter-son and two daughters, Charlotte and Jane, from Oak City, drove to Santaquin for Memorial Day. Mrs. Bunker's sister, Mrs. Julia J. Durrett, came back with them for a two-da- y visit. Also returning with the Bunkers for a visit were Mrs. Lexie Parkinson and children of Blackfoot, Idaho. SUTHERLAND CLUB MEETS The Busy Bees held their second meeting June 5, at the home of Bonnie Johnson. Those who attend ed were as follows: Bonnie John-son, Lynn Fowles, Gwen Lazenby, and the leaders Julene and Lew Wanna Bunker. Bonnie had the lesson and she also demonstrated how to set a table. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be held June 12 th at Lew Wanna Bunker's home. SEW AND SEW The Sew and Sew Club met Tuesday June 5, at the home of LaRue Tolbert and organized or the year's work of sewing.
