Show D. II. S. Observes Education Week National Education Week was observed here, as throughout the entire country, on November 7-13. The week is set aside annually for the purpose of arousing greater interest in the nation's educational system. An assembly was presented each day of the week at the high school. The first .one, conducted by the Home Economics Department, was on "proper dress for different occasions." oc-casions." The second on "religion thru the ages" was presented by the seminary classes classes! Wednesday Wed-nesday the third assembly entitled "books in the classified section, ' was presented by the library. On Hhursday, November 11, the program pro-gram was presented by the American Amer-ican Legion with the theme Armistice Arm-istice Day. The final program was presented by the Speech class Fri- I day on the subject of promoting health and safety. The program also featured talks on manners in assemblies under the supervision of Mrs. Clayton, which rounded out the week's program pro-gram nicely. |
