Granger (D-UtaM today it has approved a S200mn loan for the GarKane Power A sociation of Richfield, Utah. RICHFIELD According to . statment made by Lester Spenwr manager of GarKane Power Comn any at Richfield, the rural electri fication administration at Washing ton, D. C, has authorized a ln of $200,000 for the purpose of cm structing a 44,000 volt line to cnn nect Telluride's 44,000 volt line at Panguitch and extend to their ores ent generating plant at Hatch. Costs Too High The plant at Hatch consists of three diesels totaling 456 KW This plant will be overloaded bv 1950, two years hence. The price of diesel fuel delivered at Hatch makes it nearly prohibitive to con-tinue con-tinue to generate at that point. The plant will be run at peak load and used for standby equipment at other times, Mr. Spencer said. |
