Cumulative evidence of the sweeping nature of the Republican victory at the polls I pn Tuesday continued to come in with I tho returns reported from addition- al precincts throughout the state yes- terday. Completed reports from 5?8 I precincts of tho 766 in the state I gave Harding a lead of 22,804 votes I more than the Democratic nom'nen for president, or a greater majo-ity I than ever given a presidential cm:-I cm:-I didato in Utah with the exception of President Wilson four years ngo. Tho other men on the Hepuhcnn I ticket fared almost equally u well, I al' of tho state candidates showing I handsonio majorities over their gov- JR ornor heads tho state ticket on the ' lefurns thus far reported, ha'i. a plurality of 22,178. , Senator Reed Smoot led Milton H Welling In tho returns received up to this moining by the plurality of 21,911. The two Republican candl laic for congress, E. O. Leathnrwoj-J from the second district and Dili II. Colton from tho first district, seonid proportionate victories over Matluui-lhah Matluui-lhah Thomas and James W. Funk, respectively. Mr. Lcatherwood lea-is Mr. Thomas by 11,200 votes ami Mr. Colton leads Mr. Funk by ll,4ir. in the results thus far recorded.
