Smithy Inline Tabernacle, ns ho hnd been a member ot the Tabernacle Tab-ernacle choir for many years. He said ".We meet, to pay .our .respects to a noblo character with whom I have been intlmatoly acquainted for about forty years. Brother John P. Smith vras a public spirited man and always al-ways ready to do public service. He was a member of the old Logan band, member of the orchestra ,tho choir and the Commercial club, duty was the key note of his lite. Ho could always be found at his place of bust-nes bust-nes attending to those things which needed his attention. The big things of this world havo been upheld by Just such men as Brother Smith. Ho was a man endowed with tho same good Intentions as tho people who first settled tills country, full of faith In their God and always leudy to uphold up-hold tho standard ot manhood.
