Show It is the universal expression of commercial travellers that Logan Is making a mistake in not putting up u tlrst-class hotel, ono of suill-cient suill-cient sl?e to accommodate the traveling public. During two and a half years at ono of the city's leading hotels the writer has heard every conceivable con-ceivable expression on this point, and there aro none that have tho kindliest words for tho city's accommodations in the hotel line. ??ot infrequently traveling salesmen must make tho rounds of tho various hotels before a room is secured, and sample rooms are few and of tho poorest kind. While It is true that tho hotels hero contain a certain number of desirable rooms, there arc hardly cnougli of these to answer an-swer the purpose, and in a general way the public lias a long and righteous kick. The expression ex-pression Is that Logan is easily the third city in the State In a business way, but possesses about as little satisfactory hotel accommoda-.tlousas accommoda-.tlousas most of the smaller towns. It Is said that many conimeiclals "pass us up" on account ac-count of tho hotels, here, and many of "tho boys" Insist that the city will lose much unless conditions aro bettered. These fellows are a pretty bright lot, know conditions hero and elsewhere and when they state that no town offers a better opportunity for a successful llrst-elass hotel they ptobably know what they aro talking about. |
