Show Depot is Located At Hyrum. A Death There and Other Items of Public Interest. Hyuum, October l,'!.- Committeemen Committee-men Sorcn Hansen and George F. Wright met with David Kccles and tho railroad company's engineer last Tuesday and located the place for a depot. Tho depot will bo at tho north end of Center street Just three and one half blocks north of Main street. Center street Is the street running north and south on the east side of the public square. Somo of our citizens who own about one apro of land north of town asked the railroad company two thousand dollars per acre for right of way. The assessor should bear this in mind when making his assessment next year. The Hyrum stake meeting houso has been leased 10 a company who havo built a stage whore tho choir stand used to be, and are now prepared pre-pared to furnish tho public with all kinds of entertainment. Last Tuesday Miss Myrtlo Soiensen, eldest daughter of Charles and Alice Unsworth Soiensen, died at her home. Sho had been sick but a few days. Sho was an osthnablo young lady, highly respected and loved by everybody. Tho Independent Telephone lino will roach Hyrum sometime this month. They can't come too soon to suit some of our citizens. Tho Thatcher Vaudeville and Farce Comedy Co. played to a fairly good house hero Wednesday evening. Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday evenings tho National Stock Co. will play hero In tho meeting house. John G. Wright has resigned his position as clerk at the Co-op store, and gone to tho Novada gold Holds. Dr. Cantrll has moved to tho Wilson houso two blocks .south and ono and a half blocks west of tho Co-op store. A tlttlo daughter of H. 0. Crltchlow Is quarantined with scarlet fevor. John It. Edwards, of Logan, was a visitor horo Wednesday. |
