Show MENDON PEOPLE GET MARRIED Accident In Which Valuable Valu-able Horse is Killed. Suprise Party, and the Visitings in Town. Mkndo.n, Nov. 2(1, 1903. Mr. Orson Hancock and Miss Maud Gardner, two highly respected people of Mendon, were married on Wednesday In the Logan temple. A line reception was given in the evening at the homo of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gardner. The evening was spent as only such evenings can be spent and many nice presents were received. re-ceived. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, of Mantua aie in Mendon on a visit to Mrs. Hansen's Han-sen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bird. On Wednesday us Mr. Hansen was driving his team from tlie depot a single tree broke and the tongue diop-ped diop-ped down. Tho horses got frightened, 1 ran away and collided with a telephone pole, one of tho horses breaking his leg. They had to shoot him. It was ja bad accident for Mr. Hansen, as this Is his only team. Mr. and Mrs, Norval Hlglcr have been In Mendon several days visiting 'relatives and friends. Mr. Illglcrhas I sold his big ranch In Star Valley, and Is going cast to spend the winter. His present intentions are to come back in the spring and buy another big ranch at the same place. Thepilmary got up a surpiise on Mrs. Ann Wcstover yesterday In the meetinghouse. Miss Tlllle Gardner, of McCammon, camo down to the wedding of her cousin, Miss Maud Gardner. She Intends In-tends to stay until after lu holidays.
