Mack and son, Lewis, of South Wllllnmsport, Wll-llnmsport, walked Into a don of about thirty rattlesnakes. An exciting fight followed, tho two men using stones and clubs. Seventeen of tho snakes were killed, tho others seeking safety safe-ty In tho cicviccs of tho rocks. During tho battlo Mr. Mack, who held nn open jack knlfo in his hand, ripped a gash ten inches long In a snako's body, and a mink, which had been swallowed by tho reptile, crawled crawl-ed through tho holo and tried to get away, but wns so nearly dead from tho squeezing It had received and con finement in, tho reptllo's body that it could not get far, nnd Mr. Mack killed it with a blow of his club.
