Prospects for complete success were never better, It Is announced. In every department the exhibits are complete and numerous. Tho race events will be well tilled and some of the fatest horses In tjils part of tho Inter-mountain country will compete lor tho purses. The list of free attractions Is a long one notwlthsandlng the fact that It has been necessary to cancel one or two of them. One of tho canceled attractions at-tractions Is Madame Legions, the lire diver. The woman lost an eye some wejks ago on the coast because she miscalculated tho time of her start by a fraction of a second. Although she was still willing to fullllll her part of the contract the fair oillclals decided that tho performance was entirely too dangerous. Hut there will be enough thrilling free attractions. The list Includes a loop'the-loop, a Jump-the-gap, a dash by Kllpatrlck down a Might or steps from a plutfoim "0 feet high on a bicycle, a dash by the same performor In an automobile down a steep incline from a high tower, a high dive, balloon bal-loon ascensions, a slide for life and other novel features Kntrlcs for the bench show closed last Saturday night with tho assurance assur-ance that hundreds of tho finest dogs In the state will bo on exhibition. They will take part, with other animals, ani-mals, In the bluo rlbbion parade on Frldav afternoon during the fulr. Sotno of tho pig counties of the stato have special days set aside for thorn, Tuesday will bo Salt I-ako 'day, Wednesday Weber county day, o Thursday Cache county day, Friday Utah county, Satuiday Sanpete and Box Klder counties. It Is expected that special excursions will bo run fiom the counties named on dajs ) specified. On his own invitation, cordially seconded by the fair management, (ioveruor Cutler has offered prizes for a baby show which wl'l bo given on Thursday of the fair at 4:i o'clock in the artcrnoon. A pilzo or tlO and a gold medal will bo given by the governor gover-nor to tho best looking baby under one ycar.a prl.e or $." and u sIHor medal to the second best, and a silver medal to the third.
