Mr. Rumley of Norils & Rowe's Rig Shows is a very successful trainer. "My chief pleasure In life" said Mr. Rumley has been In the training of seals and sea lions. I was born by and raised by the sea and my tirst pet In childhood was a baby seal that had been washed ashore, and we soon became fast friends. While some chlldicn become attached to dogs and animals of a similar nature my choice was for my little captive and I finally had him pei forming numeious tiicks for the dellghtof myplajmates. Anl-mul Anl-mul tiiilncis must hac the patience of Job and the pcislstcncy of an olllce sooker. The haidcst task that I had befoio me was to teach them to play musical Instiuments. The oldest one of the tioupo who Impcisonates a clown plajs upon a banjo with his tllppcts while the others play upon tamboiiiines, haimonlcas, trombones, snare and base drums. One of my seals Is quite an equlllberlst not alono balancing all slz.es and dlffoicnt kinds of objects on his head, he Is also very pioficlent in catching any aitlcle cither witli his mouth or (Uppers and then balancing in the air with all the skill of a juggler. I have made a study of tlieso animals for the past thirty j ears and I (irmly believe they havo been brought up to the highest degreo of perfection In animal training. train-ing.
