Show I Concerning The Republican. Our news press together with a Jobber Job-ber is guaranteed to be here by October Octo-ber 1st, after which wo will be In shape to do all kinds of Job printing. Tho Republican ofllcc is in tho Ecclcs Hall, Main street, above tho U. O. Don't forget where we arc and that you are cordially invited to call in and sec us at any time. This is to be "tho people's paper" and we want you to take a personal interest in it. The following four or five issues of The Republican will offer an excellent opportunity for advertisers who desire to reach the people. During this time 2,000 copies will be Issued and circulated, circu-lated, and Inasmuch as the paper Is a new Institution, somewhat of a novelty, nov-elty, every ono will be interested in it. The getting out of an edition this week on such short notice after receipt of type, etc., has been a rush matter and placed us under such difficulties as to make it impossible to do Justice to ourselves in any way. When matters mat-ters shape themselves up properly we we shall have no excuses to offer and the assertions contained in the circular recently got out by us will bo fulfilled to the letter. In attempting to get out an edition on such an early date after the receipt of but a part of our material, the Republican Re-publican bit off a larger bite than it could chew properly and as a result the paper is of little value so far as news Is concerned merely serving tlio purpose mentioned elsewhere, that of letting its friends know that it is a living proposition. Type was not in the oftlec until Wednesday, cases not laid until Friday, and work commenced only on Saturday., Inasmuch Inas-much as the entire work connected with a ilrst Issue that of soliciting and setting of all adds, the writing and setting of all material for the news columns, together with numberless number-less other nccesary things that consume con-sume time-had to be done between Saturday Sat-urday and Tuesday afternoon, with Sunday off, the Imposlbllity of doing Justice to this issue will present Itself to those familiar with newspaper work.
