Show In Society. No more delightful social event has been given In the city during the present season than the "Euchre" given by Mrs. A. M. Flcmlngand Mrs. Willard Langton at the home of the former Thursday evening, with Cant, and Mrs. Stjcras guests of honor.Tlils charming home had been made exceptionally ex-ceptionally beautiful with a profusion of roses and over the porch was draped a splendid specimen of Old Glory. At thirteen tables guests won and lost, and the pretty little silk tally bags into which a wafer was tossed or removed re-moved as the result demanded, lent a novelty to the games that were made more pleasant by giving to each table tho privilege of ringing the bell when the game was finished. Mr. J. C. Walters and Mrs. James Langton won first prizes a tobacco Jar and sewing case; Mr. Leo. Campbell Camp-bell and Mrs. D. C. Budge second a stein and pillow cover; and after a desperate des-perate struggle, In which Mrs. Engle Mrs. Hall and Miss Carpenter were the chief participants, the consola. tions were captured by Miss Carpenter Carpen-ter and Prof. Hall an emery bag and miniature stein. Mr. Walters, by losing los-ing but one game out of seventeen, established a record that will probably prob-ably stand for some time. Tho affair was most delightful in every way and furnished an enjoyable evening, of which dainty refreshments were not the least enjoyable feature. ' The guests were Capt. and Mrs. H. I).
