A largo ciowd attended the H funeral and numerous Moral oflcrlngs H' were placed on I ha casket. Mrs. Read H was a much-loved woman for her de- H ; motion toher rellglonand family. She m was born February 8, 1807, and was H i married to James Read Decembers, H ! I JS9. She was the mother of six chll- 1 lren, the youngest one month old. Brother Fredrlo Laursen, who was severely Injured In-jured Saturday, August 22, died from his Injuries Tuesday, the 25th. Funeral Fu-neral services wero held In the meeting meet-ing house Thursday at 2 p. m. Many good things were said of the deceased and word of comfort given by Eldeis L L. Nielsen, Joseph Walte, Samuel Seditions, Jacob Jorgenscn, Reuben a. PdrKes, Lorenzo Peterson and filsliop Charles C. Hyde. The opening and closing prajers were offered by R. II, Hyde and Trols Jorgonsen. There were twenty loaded vehicles followed the remains to the cemetery. The grave was dedicated by Elder Oeorge 7. Lamb. The building boom Is still on. Chas. It Aslicroft Is adding more rooms to hi house and Mrs. Sophia Lee, wife of tho late Christian Lee, is building an up-to date cottage. The frost Tuesday night, August 25, nipped the squash, corn, beans and cucumbers a little but no great damage dam-age was done. Somo of our farmers hive been realizing about S1C0 per acre for their potatoes. Tho grain crops are turning out belter than expected. ex-pected.
