Show Died at Dempsey Hot Springs PRESTON, September 1. Milton Thatcher, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Thatcher of Logan died at the Dempsey hot springs, whither he had gone in search of health, last Saturday Satur-day night. Deceased leaves a wife and six children to mourn his untimely untime-ly taklng-off. Death came as a result re-sult of leakage of the heart followed by dropsy complications from the ravages of which ho suffered for the last two years. Funeral services were htld In the Fourth ward chapel yesterday yes-terday at 1 o'clock p m. Bishop John W. Co tulle presiding. The ward choir sang most beautifully "O My Father," the Invocation was pronounced by Elder Joshua Hawkcs, and these brethern spoke of the redeeming qualities and manly virtues of tl o deceased: Professor Geo. D. Casto, Elder neber Q. Hale of Boise and Bishop John W. Condieof the Preston Fourth ward. John McQueen offered the benediction bene-diction and Joseph Geddes gave the dedicatory prayer at the cemetery. Miss Blanche Larson sang very touchlngly, "I'll go where you want me to go, dear Lord," Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Ilawkes rendered a duet and Arthur Arth-ur Snow sang a sacred solo. Interment was in tho Northsldc cemetery. Death was a most welcome wel-come relief to Brother Milton, but Mrs. Thatcher is deserving of the sympathy of the entire community by reason of the pecuniary condition of the family, six little children, the eldest eld-est of whom is about fifteen years o" age. George O. Parkinson, Joseph Pavis, A.C. Smith, 1. II. Nash, C. D. fioas-land, fioas-land, P. J. Rasmusscn, and W. L. Roe left yesterday for Boise to attend the Republican State convention. Harvesting is on in full blast and the crops are something Immense.- |
