Show t w A. C. U. Locals. Prof. Woodward went to Alton, Wyoming last week to act as Judge for the live stocft of the Fair Association Associ-ation of Star Valley. On Tuesday the Hon. Jesse. Knight, his wife and son were the guests at dinner of President and Mrs. Wldt-soe. Wldt-soe. The rapid spread of the study of agriculture and the decognltlon of the college as the fountain head of all such knowledges has recently been shown by the number of letters received re-ceived at the president's office asking for advice in the outlining of such courses and in the selecting of text books. More than twenty letters have recently come from the high schools of tills and neighboring states Prof. John T. Calne III returned the first of the week from Richfield where' he had been acting as judge of lle stock at the Sevier county fair. He also delivered same Institute lectures The college extension work in con nectlon with the State Normal school begins next Monday. Prof. Titus will be the lecturer. The college will have several unique features at its exlblt at the State Fair. Work In woodcarvlnghasnevar been sent before and this yeai for the first time the college sends down some live stock, Including many breeds that have never been seen at the state fair, besides percheron horses, hog and cattle. There will also be an exhibit showing the mimicry of Insects on which Dr. Ball and Prof. Titus have been working for yearj. The domestic domes-tic science department will also give a One food and sewing exhibit, Including six modish gowns made by last years graduates, |
