Show Monsen & Schaub Successful Competitor From the Deseret News. Plans were accepted today for a new building to be erected on the corner South Temple and Richards street, the firm of Monsen & Schaub of Logan being the successful competitor. The structure will bo built by the Church for ofllco purposes, with stores on the ground floor, and Is designed to cost about 1100,000, It will be six stories high, not Including the basement, and will be ono of the handsomest buildings build-ings of tho kind in tho city. Tho work of construction will commence in the near future. Competing with Messrs. Monsen & Schaub wero Rutherford & Hansen, Lewis T. Cannon and Watklns & Birch. All the plans submitted wore beautiful, but the one proposed by Monsen & Schaub came nearer the figures named In the proposition for bids, and having also other requisites was accepted by the presiding bishopric bishop-ric at noon, today.
