Show Mrs. Glenn is Dead WELLSV.ILLE, September .10.-Elizabeth .10.-Elizabeth Glenn, 78 years of age, a highly respected lady and one loved by all ho knew her, died at her home In our community on Saturday, September Sep-tember 26, after a lone and severe 111-nesr. 111-nesr. Funeral services were held from the tabernacle on Tuesday afternoon. The following selections were feellngly rendered by the choir, "Farewell All Earthly Honors," "I Need Thee Every Hour,-' "Sister, Thou Art Mild and Lovely" and "Nearer My God to Thee." The speakers were Bishop E It. Owen, Thomas L!od, and William J. Hill of Logan, John Glenn and Pa-' trlarch Robert Baxter, all of whom spoke words of praise and honor that were highly merited by the departed I sister. The opening and closing j praters were ottered by President Vm ' II. Maugharj and Daniel T. Stuart. The large crowd assembled, and the many and heautlful floral offerings all told of the love and esteem in which Sister Glenn was held. She leaves a husband -and a large family, all of whom are married. People of Wellsvllle were shocked jesterday to learn of the death of Henry Thomas, another of our aged and lespeuled citizens. Forsome time past he has been at Lewlston, where he has three daughters and a daughter-in-law residing, and It was there, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Phllo Kent, that he was taken ill and died of pneumonia and heart trouble complications Funetal services were held Thursday. |
