Show SENATOR BULLEN. Senator Hullcn saving tho college with six votes Is something like Senator Sena-tor Harbor saying the collego with democratic votes two years ago. Wo do not know whether Senator Ilullcn desires tobeSecretary of State, but Judging from tho result In this county last fall, strenuous opposition by tho Journal Is a guaranteo of his nomination and election. Less than six nionts ago tho democratic demo-cratic organ was praising Senator Ilullcn Ilul-lcn for his splendid work on tho Investigation In-vestigation Commission and his severe denunciation of other members of that board. Today tho democratic organ raves and rants at Mr Ilullcn as ono unworthy. Of eighteen republicans In the senate sen-ate six voted against consolidation. Of six democrats In tho house live voted hi favor of consolidation. All but one lone democrat voted In favor of consolidation, and yet tho democratic demo-cratic organ would urge the pcrlldy of the republican party. One term in tho legislature may have Increased Mullen's nerve, but twenty-seven terms In congress couldn't Increase the nerve that sits enthroned In the oillce of the Logan Journal |
