The Journal, the oillclal organ of the Democratic paity, In Its Issue of Thursday, October II, 1900, makes the statement, "A vote for the Republican ticket Is a vote ngalust the Agricultural College." This charge Is as baseless as It is false. It Is wholly unwarranted by the facts In the case, and consequently It Is apparent that the only object ob-ject jou hae In making such a malldlous statement isaxaln ambition to mislead and dccelvo the voters of Cache County. The Republican party Is on record In favor of maintaining the Ag rlcultural College upon Its present site, and will oppose In the future as they have In the past, any and all attempts which may be made U Injure this grand Institution. In order that the people may know the facts In thlscontroersy tho Republican Kxccutlvc Committee of Cache County, through Its chairman, chair-man, Mr. Wm. H. Thaln, hereby proposes a public Joint debate, the question to be debated to read, "Resohed that a vote for the Republican Re-publican ticket Is a vole against the Agrloultuut College," Mr. A. G Barber, candidate for stato Senator on the democratic ticket, to take the anirmatlvc, and Mr. Hcrschel BullcnJr., candidate for stale Senator on the Republican ticket, to take the negative. The said dcoate to bo held at the Thatcher opeia house, Logan, Utah, on or about the 20th of Octo ber, luOO.
