Sufith was very much appreciated by the faculty and students: Ills addresses were Inspiring and could only have an y excellent clfcct upon the students and guest9 assembled. President Smith has visited us on these occasions since December, 1001. This marked the llrst visit of a president of the church to tho II. Y. College. We were glad to greet our venerable Trustee, Ulshop Preston. Though in feeble health he lias visited our receptions each year. We were also delighted with the visit of the following trustees: Hon. Joseph Howell, Hon. L, It. Martlncau, President Presi-dent Alma Merrill, ' President W. II, IMaughan, President O. N. Stohl and President M. II. Welling. We were disappointed" that President C II.-Hart II.-Hart and President It. W. Young, members Qf the board, wore unable to be present. v The Domestic Science gills, under the direction,, of Miss Cooper and her assistants, Misses Nibley and Hatch, served :i very excellent lunch In the new dining loom. The basketball league fain was or- i ganled Wednesday evening with Jos. Jensen, thestar center of last year, as captain. The- personnel of the team this year will bo Joseph Jensen, John Hill, Lyle Ailrcd, Charles RoskelJcy and David Wangsgaard. They arc all j experienced playeis and muv be count ed upon to play good ball.
