Show The democratic organ still insists on discussing President Kerr as an Issue In the present campaign, and by this continues to give evidence that the light it 13 making is for him rather than the college. No lepubllcan has yet raised a question in this campaign as to I'res. Kerr's fitness f jr the position, posi-tion, nor has any doubt been spoken of his love for or his strong defense of tho college at any and all times. Why then insist on discussing him, the attitude at-titude of politicians toward him in the past, or their possible attltudo In the future. Tho election ot the democratic demo-cratic ticket will have no bearing on his retentional thccollcgc.nor can the election of the republican tlckot affect the president of the college In any way. With the dcslro to sco Pres. Kerr remain at tho head of the school, and without desire to disparage him In any way, Tiik Rki'Uiilicajt still Insists In-sists that he is not THE college In any sense, aud that a discussion of him at this timo Is not only Irrelevant, but disadvantageous to the cause of the college. I'res. Kerr cannot be removed for some tlmo yet, so let's tlrst save the college, and then meet tho other situation. If the democratic organ Is truly Interested In Pres. Kerr and the college it will oeasc to mention his name for a lime and remove from its front page an columns entire tho charge that "a votj for tho republican ticket is u vote against the Agricultural Agricul-tural college." If Pres. Kerr is wise and ho has the Influence he will sec to It that tho organ of that party of which he Is a member takes action as indicated. If this Is not done, and he himself, does not believe the charge, Pres. Kerr should publicly repudiate the democratic organ's assertion: If ho does believe then he owes it to himself, him-self, to the college and to his republican republi-can friends to tell them tho reason why he believes It. |
