The delegation will bo called in caucus by the chairman on Saturday in Logan, and will decide upon the officers, they feel they are entitled to. The name of Mrs. Mnggio Morehoad wns placed beforo the primary by !" Recorder. There seems to be others out for the office, but as yet their names nre not known. It is the wish of mnny that, space be given the following: Mrs. Maggie Morehead is out for tho nomination for county recorder. Sho hns served ns deputy for some time nnd is thoroughly familiar with the work. She is modest and unassuming, and is a capable and worthy applicant for this office. We know of none better or more deserving. Personal Mention. Mrs. Minnie Nilson entertained a small party of friends last Friday Fri-day evening, the occasion being tho departure of Mr. Seth Chambers Cham-bers for Chicago. Those invited were: Mrs. Alfred Chambers, Mrs. Mao Cantwell, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Miles, Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Nilson, Parley Chambers, R. J. Hammer, Master George Chambers, Dr. and .Mis. R. J. Smith. An elaborate supper was served at 10 o'clock to which the guestw did full justice. jus-tice. Tho evening wns pleasantly pleasant-ly spent with music and singing by n qunrtet, and a good time wns enjoyed by all. Mr. Chambers left Monday morning for his second se-cond year course in dentistry in Chicago. Col. Corbett. was kicked in tho face by a horse while attempting to lengthen the chain-traces. The injuries, while scions, are not dangerous. His face is bnclly senr-red senr-red nnd Oil will be laid up for some time. John Hillyard was struck in the sido by the polo of his buggy and a rib was broken. Only a few weeks ago John was stepped on by n horse, suffering some painful bruises and a strained an kle. Mr. and Mrs. Embulton, of Eureka, Cal., spent Wednesday and Thursdny visiting Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pilkington. Mr. Embulton is a brother of Mrs. Pilkington and it is fifteen years since they hilvo e,een ono another. Joseph Hinds nnd Miss Selmn Erickson, of Richmond, were mnrried mnr-ried Inst Wednesday "nnd Mr. Hinds returned' to Sugar City. Tho Smithfield Brass Bnnd gavo a danco in Richmond Saturday, the 22nd. |
