FRANKKIN, Idaho, Sept. 20, 1000 I mentioned In my last letter to you that a line boy was born to Olc Olsen and wife, and that the mother and child were doing as well as could be expected. Sister Olsen was conllned onlheUOthof August and seemed to get along all right, although the doctor had to be called to her assistance assist-ance After a few das sho began to get worse, and alas, after suffering greatly, passed away on Saturday, 'he 15th of September. She died of blood poisoning at about 12 o'clock. Sister Olsen was tho daughter of tho latoAbedncgo and Bartheba Wilkinson. Wilkin-son. She was born In Franklin, September Sep-tember 13, 18(17. She was an affectionate affection-ate wife and mother, was a good member mem-ber in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and died in good fellowship. She lias left a husband and nine children to mourn their loss. Her funeral services were held on Monday, Mon-day, tho 17 th, at 2 o'clock, In the meeting meet-ing house, under the direction of Bishop L. L. Hatch. Services were commenced by the choir singing an appropriate hymn. Prayer by Elder Robert Lowe; singing again by the choir. The speakers were Elders Thomas Durant, John Lowe, Patriarch I. B. Nasli and Bishop Hatch. All spoke well of tho departed, and offered comforting words to the bereaved husband and children and all the relatives. Services closed by singing. Benediction by Patriarch T. R. Parkinson. Park-inson. A good many relatives and friends followed her remains to the cemetery. The young ladles held their bazaar on the 12th and llltli and had a rood time. Their efforts to raise a little means for the benetltof the association were crowned with success. Our district school commenced on Mcnday last with a fair attendance. |
