Show Foiled His Wife. Perhaps ono of the queerest of funerals fu-nerals was that of Samuel Ualdwln, of Lymlngton. It seems that this .English squlro and his wlfo wero In tho habit of quarreling nearly every day. In one of their wrangllngs, tho wife got the better of old Sam by telling tell-ing him that soni( day sho would danco over his grave. This worried the old man, and to splto her and to protcnt her from carrying out hor threat, he arranged with his executor that ho should bo burled In tho sea, outside tho Needles. To confirm this statement, there Is this entry In the old Lymlngton church register: "Samuel Ualdwln, Esq., sojourner In this parish, was immersed im-mersed without tho 'Needles,' sans ceromonle, May 20th, 1736."
