Show Sunday Service. At the tabernacle-meeting Sunday afternoon Joseph Campbell anu H. J. Christiansen were the speakers. The former sot forth the value of a testimony testi-mony of the Gospel, saying that It is an anchor to the soul He related how he, like many young men, felt in-dilTcrcnt in-dilTcrcnt to the gospel before going on a mission, and how In that labor he found an Interest that lias grown continually. con-tinually. Mr. Campbell admonished the congregation to not overlook their spiritual duties. II. J. Christiansen, who has been set apart as a home missionary to labor la-bor among the Scandinavians, noted the fact that it had been four tears since he had met the saints In the Logan tabernacle, and that it had been thirty-three years since he first came to this city. Klcvcn years of that time have been spent abroad. He noted tho absence of such men as Geo. W. Thatcher, M. W. Merrill, Joseph Morrell and C, D. FJelstcad, and then, refencd to- the many improvements made In Logan. Mr. Chrlstensen expressed the hope that the Spiritual growth of tlio people peo-ple is not less than the temporal advancement. ad-vancement. In reference to a state contention at this time, tho speaker had no hesitancy in saying that Logan deserves all It has and ho trusted that the city would be able to keep It. Mr. Chrlstensen urged the children to appreciate their parents, citing tho fact that In many Instances children mid the true worth of the father, mother and homo too late, much to their everlasting regret. |
