Show I Boosts for Cache Prospects J ' Kdwnnl 1. Miles, of Paradise, was I In Logan Thursday, and while advocating advo-cating the "Sec America First" Idea, suggested that Did people of the val-ley val-ley should begin their seeing by visit Inn the mlnlrit; .section In the south end of the valley. Mr. Miles Is In his seventy-fifth year, nnd lias done llttlo else thiii) work In mines slnctt his j thirteenth year. He lias worked In many of the bit; mines of the west and for years was In the mines about Butte. With this experience and a thorough knowledge of the country south of 1'aradlse he Is cunlident that that section Is certain to develop into a bin mining camp before any great while. Mr. Miles drove at least'-'OO feet of the Laplata tunnel and believes be-lieves that some day ore will bo Struck In that prospect. However, he lias more faith In Mineral Point. lie believes that the mountain there is a great ore body and that a reasonable amount of development work will demonstrate de-monstrate It. 'The Best Prospect. The best prospect In the south, according ac-cording to Mr. Miles, Is one now owned own-ed by himself, the old Wardlclgh claim one mile west of Laplata. Tills is a lead and sliver prospect on which a 45 foot tunnel has been driven and which shows four feet of concentrating concentrat-ing ore assaying 00 per cent lead and 12 ounces of silver. This prospect is olllclallv known as the "Sunrise," and Mr. Miles Is confident that an investigation inves-tigation wll prove to any experienced men that it has the best showing of any prospect In the valley. May Organize. Mr. Miles Is Interested Just now in forming a company for the development develop-ment of the property. Mr. John Edwards Ed-wards and Albert Law are said to be Interested and It Is expected that something will be doing ere long. As we understand lt,ta number of gentlemen gentle-men will go to tho property within a few days to investigate conditions. A. A. Law l.i speaking of the south crn section Is no less confident than Mr Miles. Mr. Law says that tic knows the country' like a book, Insists that its formation Is regular, that there are great mineral ontcroppings all through tho section, and that from his experience In the various mining sections In this state he Is certain that the possibilities here aro as great as they are elsewhere. Mr. Law has SDcnt considerable moncv in nnenhiL' up various prospects in the south, being tho original locator of tho Illuc Hell property. Tub Kki'uhmoan has ever believed that men who are sending their money to develop properties In other states could well afford to spend the bulk of their surplus on Cache Valley prospects. pros-pects. The money spent In the development de-velopment or this country goes Into the pockets of local laborers who In turn spend It with our homo merchants, merch-ants, and though tho property never paid dlvldcnds, but little of the money spent would be lost. Then there Is always the chance that we may bo helping make a great mining camp. |
