Show THE CANYON ROAD. A drive ovar the Logan canyon roads up to the forks will convince a person that the man who directed the labor In the recent Improvements understood his 'business. Steep places have been lowered, dugways have been widened, bridges have been repaired and new ones placed over small streams, and In a general way the road is now a comparatively line driveway. There are, however, one or two places that should receive attention In order that the road may bo mado complete. By the splllgate, over tho Logan and Richmond canal, tho road is too narrow. If an animal or team should shy at this particular place, tho vehi cle would necessarily be ihrown over the steep embankment. At the bridge above the city power house Is another dangerous place. Teams crossing tho bridge as they go up the canyon are made to face a precipitous embank-ment embank-ment there, and must bo reined sharply sharp-ly to the left In order to keep them In the road. A strong and solid lumber lenco fronting this bridge might prevent pre-vent a very bad accident sonic day.One or two more or the narrow dugways bhould be made Into double thorough-fares, thorough-fares, and moro turning out places should bo made ror the convenience or teams passing. Tho travel over this particular pleco or road Is ten times greater than It was a few years ago, and this Increase of travel makes accidents more probable. As this tiavel Increases, good work on the load should Increase, and whllo It Is gratifying that such excellent results ha'vo already been attained this year, we can not feel but that these sug-gctlons sug-gctlons aro In place. , |
