Show PIONEER DAY OVER AT HYRUM. I HYRUM, July 20, lOoil.-Tho ceio-bration ceio-bration of last Tuesday was a grand affair, and at no time In the history of tills city has tho Pioneer Day been observed with such an amount of enthusiasm en-thusiasm by tlio entlro population as on this occasion- People from tho neighboring towns were here In great numbers, and Judging from the throngs on Main street and the public square, the entire population of our awn cltv was out to celebrate. The different commlttots had labored assiduously as-siduously and with great success for the accomplishment of a celebration bclitting tho occasion. The sham battlo between "Indians" and "emigrants" "emi-grants" with tho excellent painting and costuming of the former com manded great attention from both old and young. Whlto tho program of tho tho meeting In tho grove was excellent, generally speaking, tho speeches by Mrs. Rolette Allen, C. V. Olsen and Wm. 0, Parkinson were especially pointed, timely and terso. Tho entire progam for tho day, as published In this paper, was carried out by the respective committees M with a highly commendable vim to H tho entire satisfaction of all concern- cd H Mr. Harry Mathews whllo working H In the lot, was selcd with a sunstroke M lately but Is supposed to be Improving H from the same.
