A delightful, warm, soaking rain has visited us the past week, ass urlng us of a bounteous crop. Tho farmeis aro rejoicing and the real estate men are exceedingly happy, and with the nice warm weather wcarc having, everything seems fresh and prosperous. prosper-ous. The Agricultural society has taken It Into Its head to arrange the park, which was laid out by Pros. C. O. Card, to beat anything in this or any other country. If the society Is as successful In this undertaking as In all previous ones, It can't be beaten. The society Is given the hearty support of all the people, who are liberally donating do-nating labor and cash. The conimlttc has been working hard, have a very nice Iron fence, ploughed part of It and Is setting out ten thousand trees given by our liberal government, and four hundred given by private citizens citi-zens who have young nurserlesof their own. You arc all Invited to come and enjoy your 4th of July "In the shade of our government trees." It. . liradshaw has sold the fourth thoroughbred stallion till!, spring.
