The council tin- J nr anlmouslv conllrmed the appointment Mmw' of Mr. Dunbar. B. Mahler, the Interurban railroad promoter, gives evidence that he expects ex-pects to hold onto his franchise here. The franchise granted him August 10, 1004, provides that within 24 months he shall designate tho streets he proposes pro-poses to use, and on Wednesday night he presented a communication saying that ho desired the use of Main street from the south end of the city to the northern limit of the city.
