Show RE-OPEN THE CASE. If there is any man in this vicinity guilty of murder it is a matter of justice just-ice that he should be held to account before men. Ifanymanln this community com-munity not guilty of murder Is under the frown of fcllowmcn believing him guilty lie should demand the thorough thor-ough Investigation that will clear him before the world. Murder Is an awful thing, terrible beyond words. The taking of human life oven when e'reumstancos seem to have so conspired con-spired as to make the deed almost Impossible Im-possible to avoid Is a crime before men unpardonable. How much more terrible ter-rible Is the taking of a life that knew naught but good, a life that was sweet, gentle, tender, loving, a life that, should have been spared to nurse and guide to the'age of lesposlblllty the children too young to know the Incomparable In-comparable loss of a mother's love? If a murder has been committed In Logan it must have been wanton, deliberate de-liberate it seems there could have been no reason, no excuse. The law demands and the safety of others as innocent and pure demands a life for a life. If no murder has been committed, then before all men this should be made clear. Justice to the suspected, llrst of all, demands that he be restored to the confidence, love aud esteem of those whose doubt makes life a burden bur-den unbearable; then Justice to the children, the parents, brothers and slslors demands it. Justice from every viewpoint demands a thoiough investigation.
