Show Labor Union Officials Sued for Damages by Chicago Firm. Business Agent Arthur Ireland and" other officials of the Internation. Association Asso-ciation of Machinists, now under an injunction of the federal court against picketing the plant of the Allis-Chal-mers company, have been served with notices of a suit for $10,000 filed by the Robert Tarrant company of Chicago. Tarrant charges the officials with having hav-ing conspired to ruin his business be-c-aJ3!?e nis company filled orders for the Allis-Chalmers company wbec its plant was shut down by reason of the machinists' ma-chinists' strike. The suit was threatened threat-ened some time ago, but lay dormant until the twelve blacksmiths and helpers help-ers of the Tarrant company struck recently re-cently rather than go to work for the Allis-Chalmers company. |
