Show Pennsylvania Tin in Wrcckoi by Dynamite Placed on the Track. The Southwestern express on the Northern Central railway was wrecked Saturday night by a charge of dynamite dyna-mite placed under the tracks near Blac k Ridge, a short distance north of York, Pa. The train was running at the rate of forty-five miles an hour when the explosion occurred. Passengers Passen-gers were severely shocked and panic-stricken, panic-stricken, but all escaped injury. A piece of rail two and one-half feet long was blown out of the track and three coaches were derailed and drawn over the ties a distance of 200 feet before be-fore the train was brought to a stop. The engine had its headlight blown off and the windows of the cab were shattered. shat-tered. The trucks under the express car and day coach were badly wrecked. |
