It must have been a source of great pi ide to thosie: present at the entertainment Friday evening, even-ing, to realize the talent that exists ex-ists in Logan, and the excellent manner in which it is being turned turn-ed to good account. The opsret-taof opsret-taof "The Merry Milkmaids" as presented by the students of the B. Y. College, under the careful direction of Prof. W. O. Robinson, Robin-son, instructor of music at this institution, was equal to most of the professional work that comes to Logan, and reflected . vast credit on all connected with it. From the principals all along the! line to the chorus and or chestra, all were students, and they gave a really intelligent musical Interpretation of, the tuneful little musical work. Among the principals, honors were quite evenly divided between be-tween the various roles- ' Miss Leah Bush was a charming queenMiss Jean Harris a pleasing pleas-ing Dorothy, and Miss Amelia Peart astonished even her warm- est admirers by the natural and tuneful manner in which she rendered the Indian rirl. ' Miss Lizzie Thomas as Margaret;' Miss Anna Egbert as Janet, Miss Ivy Rozsa. Ruth, and Rosina Robinson Rob-inson and Clara Skidmore as Juanita and Anita all sang . their parts'harmoniousty and composedly. compos-edly. '.Mr. R : J, Hammer was a sufficiently gruff judge,'- Mr. L". G., Burnham a pleasing captain, while L. P. Nelson made 'a distinct dis-tinct hit as the doctor. . George Dp,p.glass.was n.' manly , Jim the 'farmer, his fine tenor voice being used to excellent advantage. ... D. ,."WV; BTenderson," A. L. -Cook, and A." Bullen sustained the -other roles creditablyt; while the two infant bridesmaid, Sarah Blair and Nona Ballif, charmed the auditors completely. Altogother the affair was a complete success. The voices of Misses Peart, . Harris, Bush, Thomas and Rozsa are . unusually unusual-ly good and the possessors are to be congratulated thereupon. .
