Show Notes of the Social World. Mrs. Sarah Beirdneau Card reached Logan Lo-gan from Baker City, Or., Sunday, and will visit with relatives in Utah and Idaho during the present month. Time sits very lightly on Mrs. Card's head and she is apparently ap-parently as youthful as at the time at her father's home in Logan canyon many years ago, when out of a house full of women she was the only one who dared fire off a pistol to frighten a bear away and call her father home. The lady reports re-ports the many former Logan residents well and prosperous in Baker City. Dr. and Mrs. E. G Gowans are visiting in Logan, where their many friends are glad to see them again. Present on the stand during the service were Congressman Howell, State Senator Barber, Ttustee Hansen, Treasurer Fleming, Trustee Martineau of the B. Y.. and others. - Mr. and Mrs. Lewis T. Cannon Can-non visited in Logan this week. Miss Elsie Walters of Chicago, sister of Attorney J. C. Walters, is visiting in this city for a few weeks. Mrs. Jas. Chipman, Mrs. "William "Will-iam Chipman. Mrs. 'William Thornton and Mrs. W. S. Need- ' nam of American Fork are visiting visit-ing in Logan foi a few days, the first named lady being the guest of Mrs. E. W. Robinson, and the others, of Mrs E. T. Hyde. |
